Narcotic Detection / Advance Course

Duration: 1 to 2 weeks (5 - 10 working days)

Students: Up to 10

Pre-Requisites

  • Physically fit
  • Must have completed a basic Narcotics course from an accredited source
  • Must have his/her assigned dog during course
  • Must be affiliated with K9 unit or association

Course Description

This course is designed to train Narcotic K9s and Handlers on Narcotic detection. Handlers and K9s are expected to be qualified with the basic Narcotic K9 detection course. Training will include theoretical and practical exercises with different scenarios. Upon completion, trainees will be prepared and mission ready for any related tasks.

Course Outline

  • Problem solving and K9 deployment
  • Identifying mission task for K9 team and determining plan of action
  • Drug Interdiction, Vehicle/Aircraft/Bus
  • Masking agents’ responses and reactions
  • Real world mission task for all K9 capabilities
  • Identifying Hidden compartments in vehicles and houses
  • Large shipping container search scenarios
